The Glendalough Trail race is a fantastic running experience with a route that is scenic, challenging and safe.

Not only will it be a fun, enjoyable day but we hope to raise much needed funds for Fighting Blindness.

We have a Long course (15.5 km) Trail Run as our main event & Short Course (10.8km) Jog / Walk option


Saturday, October 31 2015 at 11.00am (15.5km) and 11.10am (10.8km)

Registration is Now Open and closes on Wednesday October 28 unless race limit reached in advance.

No" On The Day" Registration will be possible

Entry Fees

Entry Fee -

Normal Entry €20 from July 1 to October 14

Late Entry €25 from October 15 to 28*


€50 – Minimum Fundraising Fee in aid of Fighting Blindness (Additional amounts will be appreciated)

*Race is limited to 300 runners - entry will close when we reach this number

All those entered before October 15 will receive a personalised race number with their name on it


The 15.5km long course has ~500m of gain/loss in elevation (for details CLICK HERE)

We also have a non-competitive Short Course (10.8km) jog / walking option with about 350m of elevation gain


Toilets and a bag/ key drop area will be provided at the sign-on, tea/coffee will also be available here.

Cold drinks and fresh fruit will be available at race finish, there will be a water station at 9.8km in long course and 4.8km in short course.

Tea, coffee, soup and refreshments will be provided after the event at the Brockagh Centre.

By taking part, all participants confirm that video footage or photographs taken of them during their participation may be used to publicise the Glendalough Trail event or other Fighting Blindness Events
